Crispy bacon just got turned up several notches. This sweet and salty confection is seriously good. It’s bound to impress whoever you serve it to.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 slices - Bacon (no sugar)

  • 2 Tbsp - Pecans, smashed into crumbs

  • 3 Tbsp - Allulose

  • 1/2 tsp - Sea Salt (I used Redmond Real Salt)

  • 1/4 cup - Sugar-free Maple Syrup (I used ChocZero)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Use a ziplock bag to smash a few pecans to make the pecan crumb. Set aside.

  2. Preheat your oven to 375F (190C). Line a sheet tray with parchment paper. Then layout 8 strips of bacon, making sure they don’t touch each other.

  3. Top evenly with the crumbled pecans, the sweetener, and the salt. Then drizzle the maple syrup on top.

  4. Cover the bacon with another sheet of parchment paper. Then press another sheet tray on top. If you don’t have a second sheet tray, just disregard this entire step.

  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the bacon is fairly dark in color (note, it won’t get crispy until it cools).

  6. Remove the top layer of parchement and let it cool completely. Remove the bacon from the tray with a spatula, and serve once fully cooled (and crispy!).
